On-page SEO is the work done on the pages of your own website so that Google, AI assistants and real people can tell what each page is about and what to do next. It covers the content, titles, headings, internal links, images, structured data and page experience of every URL you want to be found.
Solowiz is a Dubai SEO agency. We audit each page, fix what is holding it back and track what changes in search. If you would like to know where your pages stand first, request a free on-page SEO audit.
On-page SEO is everything you can change on a page, and in its code, that affects how search engines read it and how visitors respond to it. For every URL it answers three questions: what is this page about, who is it for, and is it a better answer than the alternatives?
It works alongside two other disciplines. The boundaries matter because each one fixes a different kind of problem.
| Layer | What it fixes | Typical work |
|---|---|---|
| On-page SEO | Pages that don’t match what people search for | Titles, headings, copy, internal links, schema, images |
| Technical SEO | Pages Google can’t crawl, render or index properly | Crawl errors, sitemaps, redirects, server speed, indexation |
| Off-page SEO | A site that is not yet trusted enough | Backlinks, citations, brand mentions |
We treat on-page as the layer to get right first. Links and ad budgets both send people to pages, and if those pages are vague, duplicated or slow, part of that effort is wasted.
Search in Dubai has a few quirks that generic SEO advice skips over.
Two languages, one site. Many businesses serve English and Arabic readers from the same domain. If the two versions are not set up clearly, Google can show the wrong one or treat them as rival pages.
Crowded commercial searches. Property, healthcare, legal, hospitality and ecommerce queries attract well-funded competitors. When budgets are similar, the page that answers the question most clearly and loads fastest has the better chance.
Mobile first. Google mainly uses the mobile version of a page to index and rank it. A layout that looks polished on a desktop but crowds or hides content on a phone costs you visibility.
One page doing too many jobs. A single “Services” page covering design, development and ecommerce cannot rank well for any of them. Each service with its own search demand needs its own page and its own clear target.
Rankings without enquiries. A title that earns the click, followed by a page that disappoints, produces traffic and no leads. Good on-page work fixes both ends.
We review every in-scope page for titles, headings, content, links, schema, speed and indexation, then rank the issues by likely impact. For a wider site-level review, see our SEO audit service.
Each page gets a primary keyword, a search intent and a role in the site, whether that is a service page, a supporting article or a location page. Overlaps and gaps are settled here.
Titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image and schema changes are made directly or handed to your developer with exact instructions.
Pages that need more than tag fixes are rewritten or expanded. Pages that already work are left alone.
Strong pages are linked to the pages that need support, and we flag where off-page SEO such as quality backlinks should follow.
We track clicks, impressions and positions in Google Search Console, review what moved and why, and go again where the data points.
Each item below is checked against the page’s own purpose rather than applied from a template.
Before touching a tag, we decide what each page should be found for. We look at what already ranks, whether searchers want a service, a comparison or an explanation, and which keyword belongs to which URL. Two pages chasing the same term end up competing with each other, so those overlaps are fixed first, starting from proper keyword research.
Your title is usually the first thing a searcher reads. We write titles that name the topic plainly, lead with the term people search for and promise only what the page delivers. Google can rewrite titles it finds vague or repetitive, as its own documentation on title links explains, so a clear title also lowers that risk. Meta descriptions do not rank a page directly, but they influence the click, so each one is written for a person.
One H1 that states the topic, H2s that mark real shifts in the subject, and H3s only where a section needs breaking down. Clean headings help visitors skim, and they give search engines and AI systems clear sections to quote.
We compare your page with what currently ranks and find what is missing: an unanswered question, a thin section, an outdated claim, no proof. Where it helps, we place a short direct answer at the start of a section with the detail underneath. That is easier to scan, and it is the kind of passage that gets lifted into snippets and AI summaries. Writing sits with our SEO copywriting work, or we edit what you already have.
Internal links tell Google which pages matter and how they relate. We map links from your strongest pages to the ones that need support, write anchors that describe the destination, and rescue orphan pages that nothing links to. Service pages, articles and location pages can pass relevance to each other when they are connected on purpose.
Short readable URLs, one canonical version of each page, and no near-duplicates splitting your signals. Where a fix reaches into server settings or indexing controls, we coordinate it with technical SEO.
Descriptive file names, alt text that says what the image shows, sensible compression and modern formats. Alt text is written for people using screen readers first. The search benefit follows from that.
Schema markup labels what a page is: an organisation, a service, a local business, an article, a product, a set of questions. We add the types that fit the page and test them before release. Schema helps machines understand a page. It does not guarantee a rich result, and we say so up front.
Slow or jumpy pages lose visitors before the copy gets a chance. We check loading speed, layout shift and responsiveness on mobile (the Core Web Vitals LCP, CLS and INP) and give your developer specific fixes, such as oversized images, blocking scripts or elements that push content around.
If your site runs in both languages, each version should be a properly written page rather than a machine-translated copy, and each should point to its counterpart with hreflang annotations so Google can serve the right one. Google explains the method in its guide to localized versions of a page. We also check that titles, headings and metadata exist in both languages, and that Arabic search terms are researched rather than translated word for word.
Searchers now meet AI summaries inside Google, and some ask ChatGPT or other assistants instead of searching at all. It is fair to ask whether that needs a separate strategy. Google’s own guidance says there are no extra requirements for appearing in AI Overviews or AI Mode beyond the SEO fundamentals: the page must be indexed, crawlable, useful and easy to understand (Google Search Central). Other assistants do not publish a ranking formula, so we don’t claim to know one.
What we can do is make pages easy to read for any system, human or machine: clear headings, direct answers, consistent facts about your business, services and places named precisely, and structured data that matches what is visible on the page. That is good on-page SEO anyway, and it is the work most likely to make a page worth quoting.
It works best when you already have a website with pages worth improving. Typical fits:
It is not the main fix when a site is brand new and not yet indexed, or when the pages are already well written but nobody links to them. If that is your situation, we will tell you after the audit.
Before changing anything, we record a baseline in Google Search Console: clicks, impressions, average position and click-through rate by page and by query. After changes go live, we compare like with like and look at what visitors do next, whether that is a form fill, a call or a WhatsApp message. Rankings alone can mislead, so we judge each page on traffic and enquiries together.
We don’t publish a flat price, because two websites rarely need the same work. The main factors are:
A 15-page service site and a 2,000-product store are different projects. After the audit you receive a scope and quote that match what your pages actually need. To compare formats, see our SEO packages in Dubai.
On-page work sits inside our wider SEO services in Dubai, so if the audit points to a technical, content or link problem, it is handled by the same team.
On-page SEO is the practice of improving the parts of a web page that you control, including its content, title and headings, internal links, images, structured data and loading experience, so that search engines understand it and visitors find it useful. Its purpose is to match each page to what people actually search for.
On-page SEO changes what is on your pages. Technical SEO makes sure search engines can crawl, render and index your site in the first place. Off-page SEO builds trust from outside, mainly through backlinks and mentions. All three support each other, but on-page is usually the first to fix because it decides whether your pages deserve the traffic that links and ads send.
On-page changes usually start to show in search data within 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the current state of your site, how competitive your keywords are in Dubai and how quickly changes go live. Stronger, more stable improvements typically take 3 to 6 months of consistent optimisation. Quick fixes such as titles can register sooner, while rewritten content and rebuilt internal linking take longer to be reflected.
It depends on how many pages are in scope, your platform, whether you need Arabic and English versions, how much content needs rewriting and how competitive your keywords are. We scope the work after reviewing your site, so the quote matches what your pages need rather than a fixed package.
No. Nobody outside Google controls rankings, and algorithms change often, so any agency promising a specific position is promising something it cannot deliver. What we commit to is sound practice, transparency about what we change and why, and measurable reporting on traffic, rankings and page performance.
They do different jobs. Ads buy attention immediately and stop when the budget does. On-page SEO makes your pages easier to find and more convincing over time, and those gains do not switch off when you stop paying. Many Dubai businesses run both: ads for fast demand, SEO for sustainable growth.
Yes, where your site has both. Each language version needs its own properly written title, headings and copy, Arabic search terms that are researched rather than translated word for word, and hreflang annotations so Google can match the right version to the right searcher. We check this during the audit.
It can help, but nobody can promise it. Google states that appearing in AI Overviews and AI Mode needs no special markup beyond sound SEO: the page must be indexed, crawlable and genuinely useful. Clear structure, direct answers and accurate structured data make a page easier for any system to understand and quote. That is what we build in, without claiming to control what an AI assistant says.
Basic fixes, yes: a clearer title, tidier headings, alt text on images. Larger jobs are harder to do alone, such as keyword mapping across dozens of pages, resolving pages that compete with each other, schema, speed fixes and bilingual setup. A common route is to start with an audit, do what you can in-house and hand over the rest.
If your pages are not ranking or converting the way you expect, the cause may be sitting on the page itself. Our audit covers:
